Lapp announces the recent addition to its FD continuously flexing cable product line, OLFLEX® CHAIN 879 and OLFLEX® CHAIN 879 CY, a shielded version. This highly flexible, continuous flex cable is a UL Type MTW approved cable and is NFPA 79 compliant. OLFLEX® CHAIN 879 is a highly flexible, multi-conductor cable designed for continuous flex applications. It’s fine stranding, specially formulated PVC insulation and jacket compounds optimize flex life and provide excellent resistance to mineral oils, synthetic oils and water based coolants. OLFLEX® CHAIN 879 meets UL Oil Res I/II and is highly resistant to harsh environments. The fine conductor strands allow for superior flexibility during installation. Applications for this cable include gantry robots, cable tracks, pick and place units, conveyor systems, machine tools and other continuous flexing applications.
